PT 5100 Spiritual Formation for Ministry

Class Dates: September 22-23, October 27-28

Class Times: Fridays 6:30-9:30pm; Saturdays 8:30am-4:30pm
Location: In-person at Elmbrook Church 777 S Barker Rd, Brookfield WI

Instructor: John Carter, DMin

Course Description: This course helps students gain a biblical-theological understanding of how one grows in the knowledge and grace of God through Christ. This course also helps students understand themselves better so as to reflect on their vocational goals culminating in a Personal and Professional Development Plan. A fee for assessments will be charged for this course.

ST 5202 Theology II: The Gospel of God

Class Dates: September 8-9, October 20-21, November 10-11, December 8-9
Class Times: Fridays 6:30-9:15pm; Saturdays 8:30am-4:30pm
Location: In-person at Eastbrook Church 5353 N Green Bay Ave, Milwaukee WI (with synchronous Zoom option available)

Instructor: Emanuel Naydenov, PhD

Course Description: This course focuses on the gospel, the economy of salvation, the incarnation of the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The course begins by treating the human condition as now fallen, and sin as the backdrop of the gospel. Attention then turns to the work of Christ, particularly the atonement and accomplishment of redemption as the content of the gospel. The course then considers the application and consummation of redemption by examining the work of the Holy Spirit, the nature, mission, and destiny of the church as the gathered people of God as the climax of the gospel. The course concludes with a consideration of how the gospel story ends, for believers and unbelievers in the glory of God’s being all in all in the new heaven and the new earth. Prerequisite: ST 5201
